Tim Hudak Challenges Dalton McGuinty to Match Pledge for No Tax Hike Deals
OTTAWA – Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak and Ottawa South PC candidate Jason MacDonald today visited with Karole and Donnie Hill, the owners of Mooney’s Bay Bistro in Ottawa South. Hudak used his visit to Dalton McGuinty’s own riding to challenge McGuinty to join him in formally pledging never to support raising taxes as part of a deal with the NDP.
After the 2003 and 2007 election campaigns, Dalton McGuinty was quick to manufacture excuses for his broken promise tax hikes. It is becoming increasingly clear that Dalton McGuinty is planning to use the NDP as his next excuse for hiking taxes. The NDP has openly campaigned on a massive tax hike on employers, and has even gone so far as to make a tax-hike one of its five priorities for any post-election negotiations.
A Tim Hudak Government will never introduce a tax increase. We will never support a tax increase proposed by another party. Under a Tim Hudak government, taxes will go in only one direction – down

McGuinty Platform Cannot Hide That More Taxes Are On the Way
September 5, 2011 Tags: Dalton McGuinty, Liberal Platform
TORONTO — Dalton McGuinty’s platform is a transparent attempt to distract attention from the elephant in the room – that if Dalton McGuinty is re-elected, he is guaranteed to hike taxes a third time.
Today Ontario PC Leader Tim Hudak said that he expects there will be no meaningful tax relief or action to reduce waste in the Liberal platform. Hudak highlighted how Dalton McGuinty’s 2003 platform made no mention of his infamous so-called ‘health’ tax, and how the 2007 McGuinty platform made no mention of either the HST tax grab, sneaky eco taxes or hidden smart meter hydro tax. While the 2011 Liberal platform won’t admit to the next tax hike, Dalton McGuinty cannot hide that even higher taxes are on the way.

Too often high risk offenders who are very likely to commit further crimes are allowed to roam freely. These criminals are hard wired to threaten law-abiding citizens. Stalkers, serial wife abusers, gang members, and sexual predators are some examples of dangerous criminals whose whereabouts should always be known.
