News
Today, Ontario PC Leader, Tim Hudak, outlined the three key priorities the Ontario PC Caucus will focus on during the fall session of the Ontario Legislature, including:
- Defending the family budget, which has been stretched to the limit under Dalton McGuinty with higher taxes and fees and skyrocketing hydro and auto insurance bills.
- Fighting Dalton McGuinty’s costly energy schemes that are drastically increasing families’ hydro bills and chasing jobs out of Ontario.
- Eliminating government waste and protecting tax dollars from being squandered on bloated bureaucracy and people getting rich by cheating the system.
The PC Caucus will also use the fall session to ensure that Ontario families get the answers they deserve on Dalton McGuinty’s eco-tax, health care scandals, bureaucratic bloat at the LHINs and Ontario Power Authority, along with the OPP investigation of corruption at three government ministries.

Quick Facts
Since coming to office, Dalton McGuinty has brought in the largest income tax increase (the Health Tax) and the largest sales tax increase (the HST) in Ontario history. Ontario’s auto insurance rates, hydro rates and tuition fees are the highest in Canada.
A recent report found that Dalton McGuinty’s failed energy policies will cost Ontario energy consumers $7.7 billion over the next five years. As a result, the average family’s monthly hydro bills will increase by up to 43 percent by 2015 and add another $732 a year on to family’s energy bills.
The Liberal waste and scandal at eHealth, Cancer Care Ontario and the LHINs were not isolated incidents. Auditor General, Jim McCarter, will soon release his report on the contracting practices of Ontario hospitals, but PC Caucus Services has already discovered many of the same Liberal friends and insiders from the eHealth scandal, have also gained lucrative contracts at for hospitals.
