“Today we join Ontario’s Ukrainian community to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s independence.

“This historic day of pride and celebration for Ukrainian families across Ontario is an opportunity to reflect upon the strength of character, perseverance and faith in their struggle for liberty and independence.

“Ukrainian Independence Day is a wonderful opportunity for all Ontario families to recognize the significant contributions the Ukrainian community has made to our prosperity over 120 years of settlement in Canada.
